"David Curtis was recommended to us by our mortgage lender. My husband and I were relocating to SC and our prior insurance company did not issue coverage here. He promptly responded to my inquiry and was very patient when explaining the different coverages available for our home. We were so impressed with his knowledge of each option in a homeowners policy that we reached out for assistance in obtaining auto coverage. He reviewed our current policy, educated us on driving differences in SC and helped us select the appropriate coverages for our vehicle. As with our homeowners policy, the auto policy was designed and activated without the need to schedule an in-office appointment. David has been a wonderful agent. "During our recent relocation from North Myrtle Beach to Greenville SC the entire Callie Wise team, especially Nancy Keetch, was helpful in transitioning our auto and home policies from condo ownership in NMB to temporary hotel and storage locker to new rental apartment in Greenville insuring we had the coverage we needed. And in addition Nancy offered her Notary services when required. State Farm helped make our move seamless from an insurance perspective. We’ve dealt with other insurance companies that treated us like a burden rather than a valued customer. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Callie Wise State Farm and Nancy to anyone. UPDATE: 4 years later, settled in a new home in Greenville, SC downtown, still insured for home, auto and jewelry, and still very pleased with the on-going service provided by Callie Wise State Farm Insurance and the high level of professionalism offered by the staff. Our friend Nancy moved on to a new location, still with State Farm ... but the remaining staff has kept us more than pleased with our selection of insurer and agency. Thanks for everything Callie Wise Insurance!"

"I want to start by saying that Connor at State Farm in North Myrtle Beach is personable, professional, and easy to work with. He comes across as someone who genuinely cares about his clients. This review is not about his demeanor, but about how the overall process was handled. When I purchased my home in December 2025, Connor provided a homeowner’s policy around $2,500. It was about $700 higher than a competing quote from Slide Insurance, but I chose to move forward with State Farm based on the brand and my initial experience. At the time, I was told that this rate was tied to an auto policy discount and that we could revisit the auto portion after the new year. That seemed reasonable. Where things fell apart was in the follow-up and communication. There was no outreach in January or afterward to finalize the auto policy or explain how it would impact my homeowner’s rate. Instead, I later discovered—through mailed notices only—that my policy was at risk of cancellation and that my premium was increasing by more than $900 because the bundle was never completed. I did not receive a phone call or email about this. For something that significant, that lack of communication is concerning. A simple call or even a clear email would have prevented the situation entirely. When I followed up and requested an auto quote, I was surprised to find that the pricing was significantly higher—close to two to three times what I was seeing with carriers like Progressive and Geico for similar coverage. At that point, the overall value of the bundle no longer made sense. Looking back, the way the discount was structured felt misleading. The homeowner’s policy appeared competitive upfront, but it depended on adding an auto policy that was far more expensive than the rest of the market. I understand that pricing is set at the corporate level, not by the local office. That said, the lack of follow-up and the absence of proactive communication—especially around something as serious as a potential cancellation—are issues that fall squarely at the local level. As a result, I made the decision to move both my homeowner’s and auto policies away from State Farm and over to Slide Insurance. This wasn’t something I was planning to do, but it became the only practical option given how everything unfolded. From a broader perspective, it’s hard to ignore what’s happening in the market. Competitors are moving quickly, pricing more competitively, and making the process easier for customers. State Farm’s pricing—particularly on the auto side—feels out of line with current market conditions, which makes the bundled value difficult to justify. This experience feels like something that could have been avoided with better communication and follow-through. Connor is professional and well-intentioned, but the lack of outreach at key points created unnecessary friction and ultimately led to the loss of the account. I’m sharing this as constructive feedback. With more proactive communication and clearer expectations around how these policies are structured, future clients could have a much better experience."
